This French 19th-century Teddy Bear Chair, originaly created as a comfortable drawing room chair. Its generously rounded arms and softly enveloping profile give the piece its distinctive nickname, recalling the comfortable, relaxed mid-19th Century Interiors.

The front elegantly turned legs sitting on brass castors are one of the finest examples of this period. The back legs are splayed offering support, indicating superior craftsmanship. Graceful in scale and deeply comfortable, it works beautifully as reading or bedroom chair.
